Summary
Dictto processes all audio locally on your Mac. We do not collect, store, or transmit your voice data or transcriptions. Your privacy is protected by design.

How Dictto Works
All speech recognition happens entirely on your Mac using WhisperKit and Apple's CoreML framework. Your audio is:
- Processed locally using on-device AI models
- Never uploaded to any server
- Deleted immediately after transcription
Third-Party Services
Paddle - Handles payment processing as our Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase, Paddle collects payment information according to their Privacy Policy.
WhisperKit - The speech recognition framework runs entirely on your device. No data is sent to OpenAI or any other service.
Data Storage
Dictto stores only:
- Your preferences (model selection, language, hotkey) - locally in macOS preferences
- Downloaded AI models - locally in ~/Library/Application Support/Dictto/
- License information - locally on your device
Your Rights
Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to delete. If you made a purchase and want your email removed from our records, contact privacy@dictto.app.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to Know - You can request what personal information we collect (answer: only email via Paddle if you purchase)
- Right to Delete - You can request deletion of your personal information
- Right to Opt-Out - We do not sell your personal information to third parties
- Right to Non-Discrimination - We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights

Do Not Sell My Personal Information: We do not sell personal information. Dictto does not share your data with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
